Se están reubicando 50 cámaras de velocidad en las áreas con más accidentes de la ciudad, con el fin de reducir el exceso de velocidad. Por tanto, se han instalado señales de advertencia en todos los puntos para así advertir con anticipación a los conductores.
“Reducir el exceso de velocidad y la conducción imprudente sigue siendo una de las principales prioridades de seguridad vial de la Ciudad, y sabemos que el control automático de la velocidad es una herramienta esencial basada en datos que es eficaz para cambiar el comportamiento de los conductores y proteger a nuestros usuarios vulnerables de la vía. Sabemos que cuando estos radares se activan, los conductores reducen la velocidad”, aseguró el alcalde de la ciudad John Tory.
